Need 400 of your favorite movies available at a moment’s notice? Well, you could get something like Kaleidescape's server system or you can have it all in high-def with one of Sony's new 400-disc MegaChangers.

BDP-CX960and the "Elevated Standard" (ES)
BDP-CX7000ES. Both models can store and play 400 Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and CDs, and output full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema. Each machine also features HD Reality Enhancer and Super Bit Mapping technologies, which can smooth the edges, enhance detail and colors and reduce some of the grain.
Put a disc into the device and it will automatically organize movies and music using Gracenote's MusicID and VideoID system — if it's hooked up to the web via the Ethernet port. Some of the information displayed will include title, director, release year, genre and some cast information. Then users can navigate through the library using Sony's patented xross media bar menu system.
Other features include 7.1-channel analog output, support for third-party automation control systems, upscaling to 1080p for standard-def DVDs, and an external port for local storage.
In case you don't have a mega-collection, the company also just announced the
BDP-S1000ESsingle-disc ES series Blu-ray player. That unit offers built-in Wi-Fi access and full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema output. The model also incorporates Sony's HD Reality Enhancer, Super Bit Mapping, and Precision Drive HD technology. It will be available next month for $699.99.
The BDP-CX7000ES will also be available next month for $1,899.99. The BDP-CX960 is coming in the fall for $799.99.
