The 75SK8070PUA (or 75SK8070P) is a full-fledged 4K Ultra HD TV with support for three flavors of HDR (High Dynamic Range) – Dolby Vision, HDR 10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma). The set features LG’s ThinQ AI with the Google Assistant built in, so you can control smart home devices like lights, thermostats and cameras using your voice and the included “Magic Remote.” If you’re more of an Amazon/Alexa household, no problem. The set also works to control Amazon Alexa devices.
LG’s advanced a7 Intelligent Processor enhances 4K HDR content for a more lifelike picture with superior depth, sharpness, and remarkably accurate color. To firther enhance picture quality, the set uses local dimming technology to enhance brightness and contrast dynamically in different areas of the screen. This helps to achieve deeper black levels and better image uniformity. And LG’s Nano Cell Display technology ensures an expanded color gamut at a wider viewing angle. The screen also absorbs unwanted light and reduces reflectivity to assure deeper black levels in a variety of viewing conditions.
On the audio front, the set supports Dolby Atmos content for a more immersive surround sound experience. Dolby Atmos can be passed through to a compatible soundbar or receiver over an HDMI connection using the built-in ARC (Audio Return Channel) feature. And speaking of HDMI, you shouldn’t run out of inputs as the set includes four HDMI jacks as well as three USB ports, an RF antenna input, one composite video input, an ethernet jack and an optical digital audio output.
